Self Esteem Test | Do You Have High Enough Self Esteem?

    22 Feb 2012 / 0 Comments / in Soul Life Coach/by kellycanull

self esteem testIf you don’t know where you fall on the spectrum of self respect, you should take a self esteem test. A soul coach can help give you one & make you happier.

As a soul coach, I use these from time to time to gauge a client’s inner life and see whether or not we need to spend some good time focusing on respect.

Self esteem tests are fairly easy to find and the ways in which you take them are beyond simple, but actually being honest with your answers can be a bit difficult at times.

Everyone wishes they had a higher sense of self esteem. Self esteem leads to greater happiness, love, and success. But before you can begin to alter your own self respect, you need to find out where you are in your life right now–how high or low you score.

Self Esteem Test | Respecting Yourself

In taking a self esteem test, you will usually be asked to answer a variety of questions. Your honesty in answering these questions is incredibly important in that the only way to gauge your True Sense of Self is by seeing what you really think.

Consider this a self esteem test in and of itself: answering the questions truthfully.

If you find yourself wanting to lie on an answer to make yourself look better–or worse–then you know your self esteem isn’t anywhere near where it should be.

Try this is an exercise: respect yourself. Each of your answers are going to be right, no matter what they are. You’ve been taught by those of the Old Paradigm that your answers to certain questions need to be particular. They don’t. All they need is for you to trust that they are the right answers for you, even if they embarrass you or make you feel bad.

Self esteem is synonymous with self respect, and taking a test is one way to see just how far off the mark you may be when it comes to leading your life to its Highest Good and Truest Purpose.

Self Esteem Tests | YES or NO

There are a number of different self esteem tests you can take to gauge your levels of respect. The one that follows is just one of many.

This is also a fairly short one compared to others. For the sake of space, I’ve chosen to shorten this particular one. So take this as more of an example of what a self esteem test is like rather than a true test of its own. If you’re interested in taking a long-form self esteem test, we can certainly arrange that for you. In the mean time, read the questions below and answer them with a YES or NO as absolutely honestly as you can.

    • Do you believe that there are people who have better or worse lives than your own?
    • Do you enjoy going out with friends?
    • Do you feel that you are deserving of love and respect from others?
    • Do you think of yourself as a generally happy person?
    • Do you not worry what other people think of you?
    • Do you have the ability to make friends pretty easily?

If you answered YES to all of the questions, then you are well on your way to enjoying a life of positive self esteem.

If you answered YES to some of the questions, then you are on the road to success.

If you answered YES to a few of the questions, then you are not quite out of the woods yet, but are making progress.

If you answered NO to all of the questions, then you need to do some important work in building and maintaining your self esteem and confidence.

Self Esteem Tests | Other Options

There are, of course, many more variations of the self esteem test available. Most of them involve answering questions, as with the one above, but there are others that follow different formats.

If you feel like you could benefit from taking more self esteem tests, then by all means, please contact me as soon as you’d like and we can discuss other options for you to test your levels of self esteem.

What is Self Esteem? Learn How to Build Self Esteem

    21 Feb 2012 / 0 Comments / in Soul Life Coach/by kellycanull

what is self esteemIt’s a question many of us have taken for granted our whole lives: what is self esteem? Learn how to build self esteem with help from a spiritual life coach.

Many of us have only a basic idea of what it means, even though we may think our grasp is pretty firm. As a spiritual life coach, it is one of my duties to impart the wisdom I have acquired about self esteem to those who need my help. I’d be happy to do the same for you.

Self esteem is a concept most of us learn about even before we tackle the ABC’s and the sum of 1 + 1. In kindergarten, or even earlier, we are taught that self esteem is an important part of becoming a future success. Without self esteem our lives would be dull, dreary, and dismissive.

So we’ve always worked hard to build our self esteem.

But you can’t build upon something until you really understand what it is in the first place. So that’s what we’re here to discuss: what is self esteem?

What is Self Esteem? | Respect vs. Dismissal

Believe it or not, learning how to build self esteem is much different than learning how to build self confidence. We’ve been taught that these are similar, if not identical, concepts. Well, they do share certain similarities in that they both deal with learning to love yourself, but they deal with very different focuses under that banner.

Whereas self confidence is all about trust, self esteem is based in respect. Esteem is a word that can be used as either a verb or a noun. As a verb it means to value something highly or to regard something with respect. As a noun is means high regard or respect. So when we say self esteem, we’re really saying self respect.

For many people, respect is something to bestow upon others–usually those in positions of authority–but not on themselves. After all, what do they know?

The truth is that you know a whole lot more than you may think. Each of us was born with a Divine Guide and Spiritual Warrior inside of us that hold answers to life’s greatest questions. So if you learned to respect yourself, instead of just dismissing your own wisdom, then you may hear some Ultimate Truths about yourself and the world that could change your life in the most positive of ways.

    Self Esteem | The Benefits

Once you learn to respect yourself, you’ll find your world blossoming before and within you like the most beautiful of blooming flowers.

And that’s not just a loose metaphor I’m using, either. You see, each of us holds the potential for Absolute Greatness within us, hiding under a seemingly impenetrable shell of self doubt, self dismissal, and self delirium that has been put in place by the powers of the Old Paradigm. But like a floral bud that has yet to open, everything you need for True Beauty is already within you. Once you find the sun shining on you, your life will open and expand and your beauty will make the world a better place in which to live.

With a heightened sense of self esteem you will be:

    • Happier
    • More willing to participate in life’s adventures
    • More out-going
    • Far more successful

There really are no disadvantages to promoting a high self esteem. Everything about it is excellent.

Self Esteem | Importance of Working Hard

Building and maintaining high self esteem isn’t easy. For many people, it’s a life-long pursuit. There are just so many obstacles in the world that can cause our petals to fold back up or even fall right off. You have to learn to avoid these obstacles or overcome them in order to continue receiving the benefits of a high self esteem.

By visiting a soul coach like me, you can learn tools and exercises that will aid you in first building your self esteem and confidence and then keeping it high for every day of your life.

It’s hard work, but it’s hard work that offers rewards beyond compare.

If you’d like to learn more about the meaning of self esteem or what you can do to build it, get in touch with me and we can talk.

Self Esteem Activities | Self Esteem Building Activities & Exercises

    21 Feb 2012 / 0 Comments / in Soul Life Coach/by kellycanull

    self esteem activities

The truth is: we all have our bad days. But with these self esteem activities & exercises, you can build your self esteem back up in no time!

For some people, those bad days will eventually end and a new dawn will bring clearer skies and fuller hearts. For others, those bad days will stretch into weeks, then months, and even years. A low self esteem can actually turn a bad day into a bad life.

If you feel that you’ve found yourself in this frightening rut, then you need some tools with which you can break free into a life of love and light, instead of fear and shadows.

Self Esteem Activities | Goodbye, Old Paradigm

For too many years, we have been living in the oppressive shadow of the Old Paradigm. This is a system of life that has forced us into believing that we are only as successful as the amount of money we have saved, that we can never be truly happy unless we acquire power, and that the answers to life’s most serious questions must be sought after out in the big world (but good luck ever getting your hands on them).

All of the tenets of the Old Paradigm promote poor self esteem. Most people simply cannot live up to the expectations of the Old Paradigm–and that was the intention. As long as your self esteem is low, you can’t upset the balance of power.

Well, it’s time to upset it. Big time.

By learning how to build self esteem with various activities and exercises, you are starting to turn your back on the Old Paradigm. You are starting to see the virtues of the New Paradigm. This is where we live in the light, trade in joy, and count our successes with love and laughter.

So, say goodbye to the Old Paradigm, that dingy place where self esteem is a tool for rebellion and come into the light, where feeling good about yourself is the way of life.

Self Esteem Exercises | #1 – List of Appreciation

There are several activities you can take part in to learn how to build self confidence and self esteem. The first and easiest one, in my opinion, is called the List of Appreciation.

The basic idea is that once you begin to see just how many things in your life fill you with joy, love, pride, or hope, your outlook on your world will brighten and you will gain back a certain amount of confidence you had lost.

The activity is easy to do:

    • Get a piece of paper and pen and find a nice, quiet place to be alone and reflective
    • Try to think about your life from an objective point of view, removing your personal prejudices and biased opinions
    • Write down every little thing you can think of about your life that you appreciate, that fills you with joy, that makes you smile, that you have succeeded in, and that you feel proud of (This can be anything from a desert sunset to a sixth-grade geography bee ribbon)
    • Look at your list and marvel at how long it is–if you’ve been thorough, you will find that it is very long indeed

By making this list, you can see that life has meaning for you, that there are things you have done that have made you feel really good, and that not everything is lost. Sure, it takes more than making a list to reverse your low self esteem, but every little bit helps.

Self Esteem Building Activities | #2 – Opening Your Eyes

This may seem like an easy self esteem test, but in truth, it’s a much more advanced exercise than making lists or developing affirmations.

This activity involves you opening your eyes to the world around you, seeing people not just for how they want to be seen, but for How They Really Are. Because once you can recognize the effects of low self esteem on others–and see just how detrimental it can be–then you can rediscover how important it is for you to mend yours.

This exercise simply requires you to pay attention to your friends, co-workers, family members, fellow city bus riders, and everyone else you come into contact with. Look for signs that someone is dealing with a low self-esteem and see how that is affecting his/her relationships, emotional responses, and even physical life.

By opening your eyes to the pain of others, you’ll find that you no longer want to live that way. You’ll battle your new low self esteem with a heightened vigor and stick with it to the end–which, in itself, is a great show of self esteem, is it not?

If you’d like to learn about more self esteem activities you can do on your own, please contact me today.

Overcoming Low Self Esteem with Kelly Canull – Your Soul Coach

    20 Feb 2012 / 0 Comments / in Soul Life Coach/by kellycanull

overcoming low self esteemLooking for advice in overcoming low self esteem? Then let me help you. As a soul coach, I take it upon myself to guide & reeducate people with low self esteem

But how do you go about overcoming such an obstacle? Surely, it can’t be easy…

No, it isn’t easy. But it certainly can be done. I have a number of exercises, self esteem activities, and self esteem affirmations that will help you rid yourself of low self esteem so that you can continue working towards your life’s Higher Purpose.

Overcoming Low Self Esteem | Reclaiming Your Warrior

Every single one of us has a Spiritual Warrior that lives within us. This warrior is a powerful being, capable of defeating any invading darkness and creating a Path of Light that you can follow to a happier life.

Not many of us are aware of our Spiritual Warriors because the Old Paradigm would have us believe that the warrior is nothing but a figment of our imagination. The Old Paradigm would have us believe that we have no power–that we can only succeed by reaching outward for help.

The truth is that each one of us has the power to do absolutely anything–including change the world. All we have to do is reclaim what is already rightfully ours: the Spiritual Warrior Inside.

Overcoming low self esteem is an important step in this reclamation. If you don’t have respect for yourself then you aren’t capable of believing in your own power. But once you have that respect, your warrior will be ready to come out of its hibernation and show you just what you’re really made of.

Your Spiritual Warrior is waiting for you, and it will go on waiting forever. But it’s up to you to decide when to take charge of your life and reclaim your power.

You can start right now by helping to eradicate low self esteem within yourself. After that, you can even begin to help those around you with your newfound knowledge and wisdom.

Help Low Self Esteem | Within Yourself

There are many avenues to success when it comes to overcoming low self esteem. There are a great variety of activities and exercises that can help you find respect for yourself, which in turn leads to the rediscovery of your own immortal power.

Some of the ways in which you can help low self esteem within yourself include:

    • Stop using someone else as a model to live your life.
    • Focus on the successes you’ve had in your life, both past and present.
    • Set goals, either big or small, and then work hard to achieve them.

Help Low Self Esteem | Within Others

Once you have reclaimed your Spiritual Warrior and have the respect for yourself that you’ve always deserved, then you can begin to help others in need. If you’re like me, you might even find your life’s calling in this work.

First you must use your own experiences to determine whether or not someone is dealing with low self esteem. There are low self esteem signs that you can watch for that will help you make this determination.

Once you’ve seen that someone is absolutely suffering from low self esteem, then there are some things you can do to help the situation, like:

    • Introduce that person to the concepts we’ve discussed on this site, including the Divine Guide, the Spiritual Warrior, the Internal Blueprint, and the glories of a Higher Purpose and Inner Peace.
    • Compliment that person on something worthy of compliment.
    • Invite that person to participate in an activity with you (like lunch, drinks, a game of tennis, etc.)
    • Let that person know that you will always be there if they need anything.

By validating the other person’s existence, you can begin to get through to them that they are an important part of your life and the life of the world around them.

If you’d like to talk more about the different ways you can battle low self esteem within yourself and others, contact me today and we’ll start a fruitful dialogue.

Money and Happiness | What Does It Really Mean?

    17 Feb 2012 / 0 Comments / in Soul Life Coach/by kellycanull

money and happinessAre you confused about the relationship between money and happiness on your life? Then let me help you find happiness & wealth.

As a soul coach, I have spent my life examining what makes our lives better, what detracts us from our higher purpose, and what the ingredients of our Highest Good include.

    I am here to help.

Money and Happiness | Oil and Water?

We live in a very strange world, indeed. The Old Paradigm has done its best to confuse us about every aspect of our lives, and it has succeeded remarkably well. We just don’t know how to feel about anything until we can let go of its stranglehold and embrace the love and light of the New Paradigm.

How money and happiness correlate and affect our life’s journey is just one of the areas in which the Old Paradigm has covered our Divine Sight with an immoral blindfold.

We have grown up believing the you cannot buy happiness–that money isn’t an ingredient to our True Success. The Old Paradigm speaks of an evil Ancient Paradigm under which folks lived for greed and power and discovered, only too late, that money isn’t the way to attain true happiness. This is mostly true, but it was presented to us by false means.

Because even though people living under the parameters of the Old Paradigm are made to believe this, they still strive to gain the most money they possibly can.

In theory, money and happiness is presented to us like oil and water: they simply don’t mix. And yet we can’t enjoy the “successes” of today–like a fancy house, fast car, ultra-light computer, and the like–without money. The Old Paradigm has been trying to trick us by presenting a New Paradigm idea without believing in it.

Money and happiness is not oil and water. They do not have to be mutually exclusive, but you don’t always necessarily have both. It’s a tricky combination and one that bears much thought. The Old Paradigm tells us thought leads to doubt, which leads in turn to failure and ruin.

This is a lie. It’s time to embrace the tenets of the New Paradigm, where thought and intuition are highly valued and concepts like money and happiness aren’t a confusing conundrum, but rather two simple facets of Life.

Money and Happiness | The Meaning of Success

If you’re confused as to whether money buys happiness or happiness produces money, then you need to stop, take a breath, and close your eyes.

What you’re really asking about isn’t specifically to do with money or happiness. You are wondering about the true meaning of success.

Success isn’t measured in monetary gains, nor is it measured in smiles. Each one of us was brought into our lives with a specific purpose, and seeking its leads wonderfully and inevitably to our own Inner Peace.

Success is having reached your inner peace. For some people, this doesn’t have anything to do with money. There are people who are ultimately happy with their lives that end their days flat broke. It has to do, instead, with meeting your reason for existence.

Sometimes it takes money to do this, sometimes happiness is all it requires, but True Success can also be attained with neither–though happiness is certainly a reward for meeting success.

Money and Happiness | Steps to Success

Whether you are wealthy or poor, happy or depressed, right now there are certain steps you can take to meet your True Success.

If you’re ready to shed the Old Paradigm, and all its confusing trappings, then take a look at these steps to a successful life:

    • Learn to Love Yourself — Accepting and loving Who You Really Are is the most important step to reaching your Highest Good.
    • Uncover Your Internal Blueprint — Everyone is born with a plan, but most people lose sight of this. Don’t worry, you still have it! You just need to commit to an inward journey to rediscover your Internal Blueprint.
    • Walk the Right Path — Once you’ve uncovered your life’s plan, you need to take the journey outlined on it to reach your True Success.

If you’d like to talk more about money and happiness and the truth about what they mean to your life, please contact me today, and we’ll discover your personal plan.
