But self esteem is important and it’s worth your time and energy to enhance yours. A new and better life awaits those who are willing to make the effort and do the work.

How to Build Self Esteem | Garnering Respect

Self esteem is synonymous with self respect. It’s holding yourself in a high regard. It is being aware that you are an important piece of life’s great puzzle. It is understanding that you have a place in this world that cannot be filled by anyone but you, and you alone.

Self esteem is a concept we learned about when we were too young to have real questions, so it’s become something we all think we understand. But the truth is that so few of do understand it.

People equate a high self esteem with being happy and focused. Now these are two great byproducts of self esteem, but they don’t always have to go hand in hand.

Self esteem can make you happy and focused because it is opening your eyes to the Truth of Who You Really Are, which is a very important person. You need to stop dismissing your ideas and opinions and start paying closer attention to them. Because your soul has a voice, a Divine Voice, and if you don’t pay attention, you might miss out on the advice of a lifetime.

Building Self Esteem | Activities & Exercises

There are a number of self esteem activities you can take part in to boost your levels of self respect. Most of them are easy to understand, though few of them are easy to complete.

Some of the many self esteem exercises I like to give my clients as a soul coach include:

  • List of Appreciation — In which you make a list of the best things about your life in an effort to understand your own importance
  • Opening Your Eyes — In which you see the effect low self esteem is having on the people around you
  • Affirmations — In which you put positive energy into the universe in an effort to increase the positivity in your own life

When you have a high level of self esteem, the benefits you can receive are endless.

Self respect allows you to take more pride in your work, it allows you to be happy more often, it allows you to dismiss stress when it tries to take over your life, and it allows you to speak up for what you truly believe in.
